Mike and I met for the first time one afternoon in March 1980. I had gone to the offices of a merchandising company in Fulham West London for a job interview. I was to be taking over the sale of merchandise for the band Wings. Mike was asked to make me a cup of tea which he kindly did. He teased me and said he had put 4 sugars in it. Later he told me it was the sadness in my eyes that had attracted him to me that first time. I got the job and we began working together on the 1st of April 1980. He was good fun and kept me laughing. He'd take me to lunch in the pub opposite the office and force me to eat roast potatoes because I was so skinny in those days. It wasn't long before we were asked by the boss to go out on tour together with the band The Scorpions. We never looked back. We lived and worked together for the next 28 years.
